Claro's Italian Market - Covina

Bought 1.5 lbs of 7 layer Italian cookie at $26.00. The 3 layers of cake are totally dry like the cookies are a week old. I’ve been a customer for years but today’s visit was a bust!

The cakes and cookies from this shop look like Whole Foods. But the quality of the cakes and cookies from this shop is much worse. It's not the oil, taste, or sweetness. These cakes and cookies are not fresh, and taste like you are wearing a suit but you haven't showered for a week.

I ordered 2 platters of sandwiches for a Celebration of Life. Lee in deli meats was very helpful making decisions. The sandwiches were outstanding. They were not stimpy on the delicious meats and cheeses. Thank you Claros, we will be back !!!

My go-to place for Italian subs. ??I announce the motocross races here in Southern California and I always have to have Claro's up in the tower when I'm on the mic. ??I get the spicy Mike large and I have them swap out the ghost pepper jack with manchego cuz I'm digging sheep and goat cheese right now. It's fantastic either way. ??There's plenty of parking at this location and they're not stingy with the portions. The staff is extremely friendly and they have lots of goodies in the market to browse and try. Today I brought home an Italian artisan beer and I have to say it is fantastic. Mastri Birrai Umbri IPA. ?Ask for Kathy, Paloma, or Cecilia (aka Cici). ??

Walked becauee we were craving a sandwich and we usually go to the one in San GabrielWe walked into the Covina deli picked a number literally one guy in front of usWaited for about 5 min. About 5 workers working behind the counter not one person looked up said we'll be right with nothing.Standing right on front of us talking to each other so we walked out.It's importantSan Gabriel workers are very friendly.
