Memphis Cafe - Costa Mesa

Sometimes you just long a few chickens and waffles and memphis just makes the trick to help you with your desire! Really loved our breakfast and would highly recommend if you are in the Costa Mesa area :

Everything was good. I had the Wels-Poboy meal with mash potatoes and salad, gumbo and greens. Not the best rubber bear I had, but he was full. The Poboy was good. I'd visit again.

I absolutely loved our time here today! I am always grateful for the greeting we received when our party visited 10 relatives from Mexico after years, unable to see them, went in. The concern our waiting staff gave us was just beyond the best! The whole family enjoyed the food and service. You gave us something special, a loving memory with the family. They loved eating, popcorn shrimp tacos were a hit and so were the margaritas! Thank you. I am so grateful that we spent time in this wonderful restaurant!

ANNEX Location: VEGETARIEN Memphis Soul is a normal looking restaurant in Costa Mesa, California. It is embedded in the SOBECA district. It took 15 minutes to get a table that is not surprising due to the popularity of the place. Music that has a 40 amount a very?chill? and relax Cali feel at it. 2. Food quality I ordered the following: Old fashion Lemonade The old fashion could be? ve was sweeter but then again, it can always be sweeter! The Down Home Gumbo, Collared Greens, Hoppin? John and the Banana Foster's bread pudding. The Down Home Gumbo was tasteful and lightly spicy. The part was somewhat smaller than I expected, but still acceptable. The rice was delicious and reminded me of my moms cooking. Hoppin? John was also spicy, but balanced, it is a dish that most vegetarians must have. The Collard Greens were delicious and prepared with butter and honey. The initial sweetness cured the normal bitterness of the normal topped green. Actually, I didn't taste bitterness at all and I couldn't stop it while I was on Dessert. The Banana Foster's bread pudding was mildly sweet and it felt like an original older recipe and for what reason it took me back to the 70s. 3. Service Product Knowledge/Friendship: Initially kind, but when I mentioned a reviewer there was that? And I don't owe her so I kept pushing to taste more food. 4. Promptness/Delivery: The food supply was something on the slow side, but it seemed a rush right behind me and this only component influenced the overall evaluation. 5. Cleanliness: The place was clean, but as with every busy place, the flow of customers naturally meets the level of the Tidins. 6. Price/Performance: Excellent for being in Cali and for an established kitchen and locals. Would give him a 3.5 rating, but no such options are possible. Will be back for breakfast in the future.

We ordered Shrimp Grits and a Corned Beef Breakfast Burrito for an evening delivery. Everything was delicious. The shrimp grits is a unique take with fried okra, a house made barbecue sauce (that they could bottle up and sell) green Chile grits (mild) and perfectly cooked shrimp and poached eggs. 5 stars The breakfast burrito was more delicate in flavor but everything was fresh and delicious about it. Each bite had a piece of corned beef and veggies. The eggs were cooked wonderfully and the tortilla was fresh, so it was just good eats. Packaging was also great with these environmental friendly to go containers. Lastly, I called Memphis Cafe bc Doordash doesn?t list what?s actually in any of their menu items and Phil was super nice helpful. All around, 5 stars for delivery on food, service, and packaging. We look forward to trying more of their menu items?
