Corowa Golf Club

While staying in Corowa for the week remembered what a great place to eat this used to be not any more ,Pulled into the car park only three cars there, wife asked is it closed. went n no one on reception down the long very dated hall , looked in the bar no one there found dining room only four patrons golfers asking about breakfast told to go into town if they wanted anything Ordered steak medium rare middle of steak was reasonably Medium both of the outsides had been taken to with a blow torch all you could taste was charcoal . More like a morgue than a club suggest the RSL club instead

Everyone loves a Roast dinner. Two slices of meat or big size 3 slices of roast meat. Lamb, Pork or Beef. Keeps us all happy and help yourself to vegetables and plenty to choose from including Cauliflower with cheese sauce. Condiments to go with the roast.

I had the grilled fish and salad. It was totally tasteless. Nice room though with views of the course.

6 people had meals and 5 of us thought the meal was very much a 'club meal' - just average. Though to be fair one of our number had porterhouse steak and really enjoyed it. Couldn't say if he was just lucky or if it is consistent.

Pre pay then wait for 1 to 2 hours for very average fried food. Waiter wanders around with meals not sure which table. Awful. Never going back.
