Stonegrill - Hotel Australia - COROWA

I went to this restaurant for lunch with some friends and I can honestly say that I would not go back anytime soon. The food was very questionable. Each of us ordered a different dish, but we all had concerns. The steak was extremely overcooked, dry, and tough. The rissoles were so tough that we couldn't even cut through them. The vegetables appeared to be frozen and were watery and discolored. The gravy in one of the dishes was so thick that it didn't even move when the plate was turned upside down. Overall, the food was too simple for what we expected from a typical pub meal.

We stumbled upon this hidden gem during our visit to Corowa and were pleasantly surprised. Despite not finding a menu on their website, we decided to take a chance and try the stone grill. We ordered the fillet steak, which was cooked on a hot granite stone to our liking. The steak was of top quality, incredibly tender, and served with delicious veggies. After dining out for three weeks in New South Wales, this meal was hands down the best we had.

Excellent traditional service! The food was outstanding and reasonably priced. I couldn't find any faults with anything. Definitely worth the trip.

From the moment we walked in , the staff were flustered, meals on some tables were being questioned by patrons, meals getting sent back to the kitchen from another table and a long line at the bar to order food. Unfortunately tonight our meals was very ordinary as well. We have eaten here previously and had a good meal, however not tonight. Our entre for the family was over cooked and our herb bread tasted like garlic bread with a few herbs sprinkled on top. Wasnt very nice at all. When the mains arrived they were not right either. The ordered with veg had salad and vice versa. Our waitress said, just swap the meat on the plates over, and she was serious. The kids meal was over cooked, so much so our 5 yr old couldn't eat it. Not a very nice experience at all. At least the drinks were cold.

Dropped in for lunch over the weekend. Sat in the bar and ordered the Pork belly on Sat. Absolutely fabulous. Went back on Sun and had the burger with the lot. Again fabulous Highly recomended
