Pho Anam - Corona

I’m giving this restaurant just one star so I can share my experience. The food was terrible—there was hair in our vegetable dish, and the older woman who brought my soup was coughing the entire way to our table. When she set the bowl down, the broth was bubbling, which was really off-putting. To make matters worse, she wasn’t wearing a mask. She continued to serve the rest of our order while coughing directly over our plates. It was so disgusting that I couldn't even eat my meal. Two of the soup bowls were only warm, not hot. Our egg roll order came with just two small pieces of lettuce to share among all of us for wrapping the egg rolls. We ended up throwing $73 away, and on top of that, there were bugs in our rice! This place really needs to improve. People are spending money for a decent meal and service, especially during these times of rising prices. It's hard to believe we won't be coming back!

The special PHO noodle soup, Phở Đặc Biệt, was not prepared authentically. The broth, in particular, was sour and poorly made, and there were more noodles than ingredients like beef tendons. It seemed like it might have been made by a new cook because we have visited this restaurant several times over the past 10 years, and it used to be good. We can prepare a much better version at home than what's offered in this special bowl of pho at this restaurant! It feels like a waste of money.

I would give this place zero stars if I could! The prices have increased by $5 since last year, which is outrageous. The owner's son, who serves the food, is quite unfriendly. He delivers the dishes without saying a word and has a rude and arrogant demeanor. When I politely asked for a little extra drink, just a tiny bit more, he charged me for it. At other Vietnamese restaurants I visit, they usually add extra drink for free. What a stingy attitude! It's clear he doesn't value customers or understand how to run a restaurant properly.

Absolutely terrible. My family and I waited and ordered at this place in a good mood, and it started to go downhill when it took over twenty minutes just to get our orders of pho. We were still waiting for our vermicelli for another ten minutes as we watched everyone else get their orders ahead of us, although they arrived much later than we did. The waiter, on top of that, gave us a poor and unbelievable excuse for the delay and gave my father attitude, when we simply asked in politeness. To add, the food was average and was of less quality than the first time we had visited this place. I, nor my family, will ever return back to this place because I would rather spend my hard earned money on a place that gives us service and food that is worthy of it. Plus, the decorations were outdated. I would recommend that you visit somewhere else for a craving of pho.
