Una Kitchen - Cornwall,Isles of Scilly

Our food arrived fairly quickly, but it seemed as if they were prepared in different areas of the restaurant (which includes a wood fire oven). My wife's steak arrived with pepper on top, despite not being mentioned on the menu or requested. After scraping it off, she discovered three pieces of gristle in her steak. When she asked for a steak knife and mentioned the gristle to the waitress, there was no response. My burger was acceptable (it's hard to go wrong with a burger). We decided to skip dessert as we had fruit back at our apartment. Overall, we found Una Kitchen to be average at best, with a limited menu selection. The prices were likely on par with similar establishments, although we later found a pub/restaurant where the prices were slightly lower. Una Kitchen also had a 10% service charge. The restaurant overlooks an outdoor dining area and a swimming pool. The staff were all friendly and accommodating, despite the issue with the steak. If we were to stay at Una Carbis Bay again, we would probably opt to dine elsewhere, as there are numerous dining options in the area. However, for convenience, Una Kitchen is a good choice for those staying on-site.

The restaurant is visually appealing and well located for local residents. However, when it comes to the food, our experience was disappointing. We ordered a Sunday roast but found the portions to be small, the meat to be fatty and inedible, and it had a strange taste. When we asked for more gravy, we were given a tiny gravy boat. The service was lacking, with very little attention from the staff despite there being three of them for only four occupied tables. After expressing interest in the dessert menu, we were left waiting for 15 minutes with no menu provided. As we left, we were not acknowledged by any restaurant staff, but the barman did bid us farewell. Our meal was purchased with a gift voucher, valued at £40 for two people for one course and one drink, and we had hoped for a better experience. Overall, it was a sad and disappointing dining experience.

I am extremely grateful that they were able to accommodate us on a busy holiday weekend. The service and food were both amazing, and it was a nice bonus that they allowed dogs.

Delicious food, slightly disappointed in the portion sizes. Service was friendly but very slow.

Good food cosy restaurant. Great cocktails. A little bit pricey but service was wonderful. Served by a lovely waitress I believe called Sophie who was very cheerful helpful.
