Philos Restaurant - Cornwall

At the Cornwall Ontario location, the food is great when you get what you place an order for. If ordering for a delivery and the person taking your order makes a mistake, some of the employees will lie instead of being accountable and when you call to investigate, the person acting as manager that night threatens you bodily harm and makes sure that you know that she knows your address. I have NEVER been threatened bodily harm by any person that works in customer service in my entire life! After many years of being a repeat customer, I will never bring business to Philo's again because of the threats that were uttered to me on July 6th, 2023 at 5:10pm.

This restaurant has several delicious daily three-course specials from $18-$21 including soup, hearty entrees, dessert and tea /coffee. Today’s lentil soup, obviously made-from-scratch, was tasty. My Greek salad had fine-quality feta cheese, olives, ripe tomato and all the fixings with a lovely piece of chicken breast fresh from the grill. My cake with strawberry jam and frosting was fresh and the hot tea made the meal perfect. Of course, they have a very varied menu. I wish that I had also had room for spanakopita, but next time I will get one to-go. The pizza for a nearby customer looked well-topped, hot and sizzling! A customer waiting for a take-out order of chicken pita said that everything he had ever ordered was worth coming in. The staff and owners continue to take extra precautions for our health including covering the ENTIRE top of every table with white butcher’s paper fresh for each setting. The bathrooms are spotless! We have eaten here a few times in years past, but the timing was never right as we were en route to another destination. Now Philos will be the planned destination to head to.

Very good menu. Good portions and the food won't disappoint. The prices are also good. We have been there several times and it was always very good.

Even on a Tuesday night, this place was busy. It was our first time at Philo's Restaurant and we were not disappointed. The service and the selection of food is awesome. The food tasted excellent and fresh. We had the special of the day that came with soup, coffee or tea and desert. We will return for sure when we are in the area.

Delivery driver did not appreciate my 5 dollar tip on 30.00 order, and made it apparent to me. He drove away without even a hello, goodbye or, thank you. He made it very obvious that he was not happy at oll.
