I enjoyed the chicken mole very much The portion was pretty large and I could not finish it.. The best part it was too salty or too spicy!! my gal ordered the tamale and it was tamale perfection... just the right the amount masa and the meat was very generous compared to most tamales. We will stop here for lunch every time we make the run to the Olive Pit to pick up another six pack of garlic olive jars! Three thumbs up. Fine Mexican holiday fun. Also.. the server was very friendly and did excellent job! Thanks!

The frijoles and salsa we started with were the perfect indicators that we had chosen the right spot for breakfast. Our server was quick and friendly, and the horchata was delightful. The chips were made in-house, which added to the experience! The chili relleno and sauce were excellent, while the steak ranchero was simply P E R F E C T with its rich, deep tomato and jalapeño flavors. Once again, the frijoles and rice were delicious, and everything tasted genuinely home-cooked, with large and beautiful portions. My only regret is that this place isn't closer to the Bay Area. If you’re looking for a road trip to enjoy some amazing food and excellent service, this is the place to go—whether you're in Sacramento or the Bay Area. We will definitely return whenever we're in the area. Thank you to the team!

The restaurant is located in a parking lot shared by a few other businesses just a few minutes off of i-5. The inside can fit about 50 people and is brightly decorated with authentic Mexican artwork. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was good. I had a birria and chicken al carbon taco. I thought both tasted pretty good. Neither were spicy and each had well seasoned meat. The consome is a must for the birria. My girlfriend got the nachos and I was pretty jealous of those because they looked great.
