Andy's Frozen Custard - Coppell

Love, love, love Andy's just don't love this location. I'd give this location a 3, but I don't want to hurty Andy's reputation too much. This location is dramatically understaffed for the level of traffic, and after waiting almost 25 minutes to get our ice cream, we got home and put it in the freezer to harden it up a bit. When it came time to eat the ice cream, it was so sparsely filled with the ingredients it was supposed to have that it almost tasted like vanilla ice cream (we ordered a Boot Daddy and a James Brownie Jackhammer). We're going to avoid this location going forward and head over to the Grapevine location.

I 've been on a hot fudge sundae kick lately and decided to try Andy 's to see how they compared to other sundae 's I 've had. I came on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn 't to busy so I had time to look at the menu even though I knew what I was getting. I ordered the tin roof sundae which is their hot fudge sundae with spanish peanuts and a cherry on top. I will say the sundae was pricey, 6 dollars is a bit much in my opinion but it was delicious! The vanilla custard and hot fudge was top tier. I loved the peanuts, but the skin on the peanuts slightly disturbed the experience. I would definitely get this sundae again, but it would be a splurge type of thing, with that being said I 'd definitely recommend Andy 's.

I've had great experiences in the past, that's why it pains me to write this. This past Monday I went by to get a treat for my six year old. The Snow Monster is his favorite. The employee told me they were out of the melted chocolate chip but he would substitute hot fudge. It wasn't the same plus there was only two small strawberries in the cup. It was definitely not worth almost $7. For less than half the price we could have gone to DQ and gotten a better treat. Very disappointing.

The frozen custard is tasty, if a bit pricey. My only issue was that they got my order wrong, and I didn't know till I had already started driving off. It was good, but not what I had wanted.

Service is fast. Employees are very friendly helpful. This is a great place to go for a dessert or a date night. The portions are a good size. Their Straw-anna is fantastic on a hot day or night. Don't let the line of cars scare you away, it moves pretty fast.
