I came with a group on a Sunday night. we chose dives with pita brot and a plate char grilled octopus for participants to share. the oktopus was super melted in her mouth disappointed there was only enough for tentakel. the dives were tasty but felt that they were not freshly prepared, but a purchased product that they can buy anywhere. still beautifully presented and we were extra pita honey brot given no additional cost.We all shared the mousaka, pastichio, roasted chicken, prawns zaganaki and the grilled fish with lemon dressing. the whole food was delicious, but for me the prawns zaganaki was a standout. the stand out was the baklava ice cream. so creamy and the taste amazing.
Without doubt, I love Asian cuisine, it is hard to resist a steaming hot bowl of noodles on a cold winter day. After I said that, I get the rare, very strong demand for Greek eating all couples weeks. When I went to all hotspots in the west end, I thought that this time I would venture a little further and try my luck at coorparoo where I had accidentally completed my prime formation on the day.
We had been once before for a family meal with friends and the food was really good so when looking for somewhere for a quiet dinner catch up with girlfriends I thought we'd try it again. I was not disappointed. The food really is fabulous, the staff are attentive but not intrusive (and provide helpful recommendations!) and it was a lovely evening. Will definitely be back with the family and other friends.
My friend and I came here today wanting a nice relaxing dinner and that is exactly what what we got! The service is wonderful and they are very attentive. The lamb souvlaki was okay-a little tough and not the best I've ever had and the haloumi serving a bit small for the price but it was all decent food and worth the visit. If you come at all, come for the honey puffs offered on the dessert menu. They are lactose free, so a great dessert for those poor people that can't have anything dairy based.
Staying not far from the location of this restaurant, we were very pleased to stumble on a very pleasant casual dining experience.Amongst a group of restaurants, we were very pleased with our selection as we love Greek food. We have travelled to Greece, so often compare what we have here in Australia versus the real deal.Run by a very friendly lady with a Greek background, there are all the dishes you would want. The platters of meat, seafood or both are make ordering easy. Alternatively you can order up on small plates to your taste. In fact, tzatziki as a starter was amazing - very generous serve with great bread. We did not try the lamb cutlets but they looked amazing on other tables.Greek type soft drinks are available, however this restaurant is not licensed meaning it's BYO if you feel like a drink. Overall a reasonably priced dining experience that only got a little out of hand because we have a habit of wanting to try everything! We also thought it was a nice touch that we were able to swap the dessert that comes with one of the platters for scallops! A nice touch that not all restauranteurs are comfortable offering.Definitely recommended.
