Contribuiți la feedbackI stopped in to pick up a to-go order and asked if I could get a few extra packs of soy sauce. The young man that took my payment said there was one pack in the bag and that was enough for what I ordered. Very much not the case. This was my lunch break and I ended up going to the grocery store and buying a small bottle of soy sauce. Extremely rude and acted as if I was trying to take all the soy sauce the restaurant had. Two stars because the food was good but customer service definitely needs some assistance.
Really great food. I will be returning soon for some more house lo mein. Best I have eaten since moving to Hickory NC..
A win for vegan options! Lots of options for tofu with veg. They use a lot of fresh veggies and everything is a great price. The general tso's was so good! We enjoyed it so much our first try that we came back the next day for more (this time to try the ginger tofu- also delish with fresh ginger in it! . We've since worked through the menu and haven't found a thing we don't like. The orange tofu, sesame tofu, and scallion tofu are also delicious. The staff is super nice, informative to questions, and Justin who usually takes our orders is so polite and helpful. Be sure you order with white rice and swap your egg roll out for a spring roll if you're vegan! Edit to add props for how clean it always is, including the kitchen which is in full view. This has quickly become one of our favorite go-to places.
Kevin Lu owns this place as well as the one in Statesville. I did the Statesville review and since I use the conover location more now, Sidenote: his brother owns the Mooresville location and it is great as well I have to talk about this one though for now. Kevin has mimic'ed the Statesville location's service and great food to a T. He takes care of his establishment and prides in excellent food. I make sure and support his business at least once a week since he does great work and he's a small business. Favorites are scallion chicken and teriyaki steak lo mein. Last one isn't on the menu but I promise you it's good. Kevin was actually saying hello, but his mask was on, plus I caught him off gaurd. Lol Only way to get the actuality of somewhere.
The young man that took my order was very friendly and when I stated I hadn't been there before, he very quickly explained important points about the menu. My order was takeout, but found the dining room neat and clean. I purchased 2 entrees and 1 drink for just under $22. Food was very tasty. I will go back and highly recommend you try it out for yourself.
