Hana Teppanyaki - Compton

I would not recommend this restaurant. The food was not up to my expectations - it was dry and had a bad taste. The ingredients did not taste fresh. The service from the waiter, who may have been the owner, was terrible. He was unresponsive and it was difficult to get a simple question answered. I will not be returning to this restaurant. I suggest going to McDonald's instead.

Eating is delicious, especially the sesame chicken. the terrible attitude of one of the chefs/Kashier was terrible. update 06/26/2022:I order the sesame chicken again, but this time with chow mine. it was just okay and no fresh tasting at all. they use to give nugget size chicken bites. they serve popcorn size huh. I still have the same funny job I ordered from here last time. unless they start eating fresh, biting great sesame chicken and lose the funky attitude, I will not get food from here again.

I normally read reviews before trying out a restaurant. The food appeared more appetizing than it actually tasted. Despite not wanting to waste money, I reluctantly ate half of my meal. However, my stomach started hurting soon after, prompting me to discard the rest. Unfortunately, I experienced gastrointestinal distress for about 30 minutes and multiple times throughout the night.

My husband just worked a 15 hour shift, and I ordered thinking this place was good. After I read the reviews I was so scared! I thought I had bought my husband some junk. I’m not sure where the bad reviews came from? Maybe it’s because I didn’t get to meet the cranky employees? I don’t think I would order the chow mein again, nothing special. But I ordered him white rice with steak, chicken and I ordered some extra teriyaki and some habanero sauce. I did not mind paying the extra 50 it’s no big deal….. I just popped open this thing to make sure I knew what I was going to put in front of him and I thought it was pretty good! Maybe I caught it on a good day but I would order again. Probably not visit in person just so I didn’t have to deal with the cranky employees.

First, this is NOT SHRIMP TEMPURA! First experience, not the best one. My food was not packaged well and what little sauce was on the food, landed in the bag. I ordered the 3-meat combo, with double Hibachi Chicken and Shrimp lightly succeed in Teriyaki sauce. The portion sizes are questionable. The pre-frozen breaded shrimp they included as my side of shrimp tempura, was disappointing. I also ordered spring rolls. Which were also pre-frozen and not fresh. The chicken and shrimp was good. The side of shrimp fried rice was simply rice and a couple of bits of diced shrimp. Overall the food was marginally just ok. Nothing special, not horrible. If I had to eat again, I would order. But, wouldn't be high on my list. Just not what I anticipated with Teppanyaki.
