Bernie's Broasted Chicken - Columbia

Best darn chicken. I took family for the 1st time for them and they agreed. They are #1 in my opinion.

Great service, very friendly and helpful. This was my first time going to Bernie's and I've lived in the Columbia area all my life. I don't know how I didn't know about this place. We got the double cheeseburger basket and a chicken breast, because the lady that took our order said I just had to try the chicken they are famous for. Everything was delicious!! The burger was huge and cooked perfectly. We got a huge amount of fries in each basket with a little container of cole slaw. I over stuffed myself, it was so good! I took the chicken and some fries home and ate that for dinner later. It was delicious too! We will definitely be back again! A Gem in the rough!!

I love Bernie's. Let me be clear. However, having a bit of a diet restriction as of late, I decided to order the flounder combo and I was sorely disappointed. The fish was very flaky, literally fell apart, lacked seasoning and was coated in this thick layer of breading that just made it worse. The fries were unusually hard and over-done. What saved my appetite was the sweet tea (10/10), cole slaw and bun. I won't be back for a while because I can't have chicken. But I still love Bernie's
