Addison's South - Columbia

Took my Daughter to the South location for the first time. We were put on a wait for 20 or so minutes- it was Saturday at 6, and they were pretty busy. Eventually got to our table, the waiter was ok, did his job well enough, friendly and checked back in timely order throughout our meal.My Daughter order the tuna, cooked medium rare with asparagus and rice, I ordered the marinated 10 oz strip with garlic mashed potatoes. Our food came out pretty quick, faster than I thought it would with as busy as it was. She loved her tuna, it was cooked perfect and she cleaned her plate. My strip was cooked perfect, but had no real flavor to it except for the salt and pepper I put on it, and it was very hard to cut, and very tough. It certainly was not marinated in anything at all. Maybe they were just busy and had to cut them on the fly. My potatoes I thought had an instant flavor to them, but with all the garlic powder they put in them I couldn’t quite tell. I would eat there again.

My husband and I visited the restaurant on the night of September 16, 2023, and we found crumbs and sticky condiments on the bar where we sat down. When my husband asked the server to please clean it up, she actually tossed him a rag to do it himself! The guy sitting next to us chimed in, saying at least my husband got her attention since he had been waiting for 30 minutes for another drink. The restaurant wasn't busy, which made the lack of service even more frustrating. Additionally, while walking with my neighbor, she mentioned that they left after not being attended to for over 30 minutes—completely unacceptable! To top it off, I never received a menu, but thankfully I already knew what I wanted.

We visited after a MU football game with our entire family. The food arrived quickly and was excellent. The staff did an outstanding job attending to our large group.

The food was disappointing and lacked flavor. We ordered takeout, and while the food smelled good, the taste was not pleasant. The mashed potatoes were sticky and unappetizing; my child refused to eat them and kept spitting them out. Unfortunately, I won't be dining there again!
