Murry's - Columbia

Great experience here! The calamari was very good as an appetizer. The Greek salads were delicious!! I had the pork chop which was a thick cut and tasty. My son had the salmon which he enjoyed very much. Our sides of mashed potatoes and broccoli were great too. Nice servers and atmosphere in the restaurant. You could tell it was a local favorite as it was busy for a Tuesday night.

Sometimes there just aren’t enough stars. I’ll admit, I overlooked Murry’s for a few reasons: I’m not a fan of jazz, it was next door to a laundromat, and I’ve been cutting back on dining out. I was wrong to have ever thought twice. Murry’s is amazing. The waitstaff are brilliant, charming, friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was fine, a little loud, a little dark, and a little crowded. None so extreme as to raise a concern. The food was awesome. Sardines and crackers are as advertised but comes with all the fixings to make your own hors d’ouvre. Bobs Bobs are a juicy meat treat. Pork chop special was perfectly seasoned and prepared. The steak was out of this world. A perfect medium rare with a deluxe crust. This is the best steak in Columbia. Check my other reviews, bc Murry’s blows the place out the water.

Good value, good service, good atmosphere. Nice restaurant with a dark, relaxed ambiance perfect for listening to music and enjoying dinner. Food was pretty good and the mains are a very good value. The sides were a little less reasonably priced for the portions, but weren't outrageous and were tasty. Our server was very friendly and prompt. The table enjoyed their burgers and the fried peppers were good, though a little too sweet for me. Steak sandwich was perfectly cooked, tasty and a good value. HOWEVER, I would call it a good steak served with bread and not a sandwich, lol.

Absolutely outstanding food and service! Had blue chips garlic bread, and the double pork burger. So good! Great atmosphere and bar selection.

For years, I have said that Murry’s is the best restaurant in the United States for the price.
