Service this time was fast and friendly never wait until a server comes back to your or the items you ordered. At the owner's advice, I made a special request for a charged seat and was rewarded with a much more comfortable culinary experience. I would be very happy!
Nice place to enjoy a good drink and food! You can fill so that a reservation is best. They also post who plays on Instagram this night. It's a place for us now.
I heard about this jazz café from a friend of mine. Since my daughters both love jazz, I thought it would be a great opportunity to check this place out on a Friday evening. The food was amazing! Both the appetizers (aka prelude), and the entrees (aka Chorus) were awesome! For the Prelude, we tried the Bison Sliders; free-range Colorado bison with roasted chili, marinated peppers, pepper jack cheese on a fresh bun. We also tried the Charcuterie plate which had cured artisan meats, various craft cheeses, fruit mustardo local bread, fresh fruit and olives. AMAZING! For the Chorus, we had the bison steak which was Mediterranean spiced bison steak, herbed couscous, olives, served with marinated tomatoes, and an herb yogurt sauce with fresh herbs. Definitely an amazing time and will plan to go back soon!
Great energy from the moment we walked in. We haven't been here since the old location. Drinks are above anything else! Seriously, the drinks are amazing!
Christopher N 1 Pending review Not vegetarian friendly. I credit Motif with creating a classy and comfortable venue for local live jazz music. This is a great thing. But, my recent visit to Motif has tarnished my impression of the place, both due to the fact that that didn't have a single vegetarian option, entree or appetizer, on the menu and how they handled my query about whether any veggie option was available, but not listed on the menu. My wait person responded that she would ask the chef, which made me happy. She also returned saying the chef could make a dish. My mistake was not asking how much that would be. Most of their entrees are in the $10-$20 range. Their udon ramen bowl, that includes pork, is $10. I was brought a veggie udon bowl, which tasted okay, but was spoiled some by too much ginger. What surprised me was that they charged me $18 for it. I was never informed that they were going to almost double the cost of their regular udon dish after taking out the meat. If they had told me they were going to do that, I would not have ordered it. Other changes were probably made to the dish, but it definitely didn't warrant such an increase in price. They should have informed me they were going to make such a huge increase when I ordered it. Then I would have said no thank you. I mentioned this to the wait person, but she didn't do anything about it. Also, they add on a 20% gratuity that you can't edit. Because of the extravagant charge for my dish, I reduced the gratuity, but Motif ignored that and billed my credit card the amount they decided was correct.
