SUSHI HON - Collingwood

Pleasant decor, great service (Rachel). Beef teriyaki and sweet chicken dishes were great portions (had to take some home, LOL). Our first visit to Collingwood and just have to say that they are lucky to have such a great sushi place. Special commendation for the spacious seating... We never like cramped restaurants.

I eat a lot of sushi, and I must say, this place was impressive. They had a plentiful, lunch special including miso soup, rice, salad, and your choice of sushi for $11.95. It was fresh, the service was great, and staff friendly. What else could you ask for?

We called earlier to make a reservation. It was my wife and my first visit to the town and we loved the character of the main street, Hurontario. THe 6 of us (Grandpa, Grandma, Daughter, Son-in-law and grandkids) arrived at the restaurant at 5PM and were taken to our table. The server was very pleasant as we ordered our drinks and perused the menu.The three 'men' shared the 30 piece sashimi boat and it was fresh and delicious. The table ordered and assortment of rolls (try the Collingwood roll) and some dinners.I started with the Gyoza soup (?) which was tasty but the veggies needed to be chopped a bit smaller.All in all it was a delicious meal and the servers were friendly and prompt bringing the food and clearing the empty dishes. Good value and good times.

We went out for a pre-movie dinner. Decided to go to Sushi Hon to switch it up a bit. Got a great seat and the server was both quick and helpful. With her direction, we decided to have the small Maki boat. It was more food than we needed, but each item was spectacular. The best part is we have food for a meal tomorrow!If you are in the mood for sushi, sashimi or maki head to Sushi Hon.

Love this place!! Like everything we've tried. Just as good as the best in TO, if you like sushi. Reasonably priced & friendly staff.
