Great view of the marina and Georgian Bay. excellent service from Joe.I had the trout, my wife had the chicken, both very good.
I was in town to play at the Keys for Collingwood street piano festival. Some friends came from out of town and we booked this place for the first time. What a wonderful decision it turned out to be. The menu was varied and creative offering lots of choice. The servers and hostess were all lovely, professional and warm in their demeanor. The meals were all excellent and everyone seemed pleased with what they ordered. We had a great table, and although the patio was not the place to be due to the less than cooperative weather, the view of Georgian Bay and the historic grain elevators from our table was much appreciated. I will highly recommend this place and I will be back again for another excellent dining experience.
We had the delightful experience of enjoying the 5 course wine pairing last night. This is offered on the first Wednesday of each month. Starting with a perfectly seared scallop on a bed of julienned vegetables accompanied by Spanish Vino Albarino. grilled peach salad with prosciutto, arugula, buffalo mozzarella and a blueberry balsamic vinegar served with a Corbieres. Passion fruit sorbet was our palate cleanser, a little sweet for my taste but intensely flavoured. Chef Eric prepared wild mushroom risotto topped with crisped onions to go along with perfectly cooked Angus beef tenderloin. The wine served with our steak was Pond View, Bella Terra, cabernet Franc. A marriage made in heaven! We ended our meal with a maple pecan butter tart with local vanilla bean ice cream and dulce de leche sauce. The accompanying fruit wine, Georgian Hills Baked Apple "Frozen to the Core" was a perfect compliment. Chef Eric has a delicate hand with seasonings and sauces, nothing overpowered the "star" ingredient. Cindy, our sommelier, made thoughtful choices for the pairings and our server Nicole was professional, competent and very pleasant. This was without question one of the best meals I have had in the Collingwood area in many years! I highly recommend the monthly "Pairing".The restaurants location right at the water's edge is just an extra bonus'
One of the very few spots on the water to have dinner in the area. In a marina with a view of the Bay.We went early and got a great spot on the patio. Since it has seafood in their name I had the salmon and my husband had the halibut. We really enjoyed both fish dishes. Cooked just right with risotto. Our friends had the pasta and said it was delish. Our server, Fiona was knowledgeable and very personable. Nice wine selection at reasonable prices.Very good and worth a second trip.
