I could be wrong, but flamenco dancers are every Friday, Spanish gitarrist on Sunday and violin on Saturday. highly recommended.
Hidden treasure, but immensely impressive! A co worker recommended this place while I was traveling for business. For some reason, Google Maps did not want us to navigate here (Maps issue) but once we found the old church facade and the maitre d ' on the sidewalk, we knew we were there. The ambiance is very enjoyable, and the food lived up to the reputation. To start, I chose a pork tapas appetizer. It was delicious, but pricey for the amount of food. For the main course I had churrasco steak with broccoli and garbanzo beans. The steak was seasoned and cooked well. Unlike the appetizer, the entree was priced right for a restaurant of this stature. Oh, and the beer I went with the 1605 Red... all the while thinking this Spanish beer had the quality of a Belgian Trappist ale... Turns out it 's actually just an Irish Red... but it was really really good. Apparently they also have live music and Flamenco dancing (stage performance) Friday and Saturday. Definitely want to come back.
Wonderful Spanish place with authentic tapas and Spanish wines. The Garbonzos Fritos (cooked chickpeas with chorizo) was our favorite very tasty. Staff are friendly and they had a violinist providing music. Located in a quaint area that's worth the a visit.
We went for the live flamenco dancing on a Friday night. We made reservations since there was entertainment, but I don't think it was actually necessary. Had the meat paella which was good but didn't seem authentic. I don't mean to say it wasn't tasty, just that if you're looking for authentic paella this isn't the place. Dancers were fantastic loved all the styles of flamenco they did and the costume changes. Table service was disappointing and the reason I dropped a star. It wasn't terribly busy so that can't be why. Server just seemed distracted.
The food here was good. However, I wasnt to pleased with the service. I had made a reservation for a party of 9 and when we walked in I stood at the hostess podium for 5+ minutes before even being acknowledged. This happened to many people during our visit and some just walked away. Again the food we tried in the pics was good. Now, I like beer, I like to know what I 'm ordering. I asked the server what beers they served and if they had a menu. I got a generalized answer and a I am your list for an answer, was not happy with that. The service was not great here at all. For a Saturday evening, when there is an art festival going on downtown, you 'd think the place would be busy. It was not! They seemed to be under staffed but not any of the servers moved with any urgency. The place was hot, the live music was way too loud, but nice otherwise. Would I return.... hard maybe, again the the food was good! I dont think I would return for dinner service, but just for some tapas and then see how the service goes.
