Azucar Cuban Cuisine - Closter

5 stars for eating, ambiente and service. traditional drinks -no. I chose this especially for a mojito and got a lime flavor with a sugar cane stick. great tourist drinks. members of my party ordered more American Cuban drinks and enjoyed them. if they are looking for traditional mojitos, that is not.

15 years ago we knew azucar in the Edgewater location. came back to this new location, checked that his same owners and was excited. It was good in the past, but not anymore. eating was just okay, and a bit overpriced. Portions are huge, it seems they go for quantity, but not quality. we took huge rest after home, but they did not eat. the service was poor who served us seemed ok, but then he fell the ball after the first 5 minutes. he didn't know the menu, cleaned the table after the appetizers at all. then the packaged rest fell in the middle of the table, in a black plastic bag and then gave us dessert menu. with the left in a pocket on the dirty table. we just checked out. paid $115 for 2 main courses, 2 starters. no desserts. no drinks. they decide whether it is worth it for them....(and! they have a television in every corner, and it shows only the 1 thing chef owner and his date with bobby flay. over and over....The eating is sucked, so the show is not worth)

Nice food and service. not disappointed. a real fine taste of Cuba.

Our first time comes here. what a great surprise! that was delicious. service was wonderful. I look forward to coming back.

Wonderful experience as always. Came here for my fathers and sons birthday with the family and everything was perfect. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. The food was fantastic. Everything was perfect!!
