We were a little surprised that the toasted specials came on open brown bread . They did not look appetizing. They tasted okay but not what we expected. We were a little surprised why we got the brown bread that you would normally get with soup. The table next to us had normal bread for their toasted specials. We were disappointed but we did not complain. The staff were nice and friendly.
Lovely food simple but very well done using local ingredients such as black pudding, crab and Marie O'Keeffes famous pate ,
Lovely location in the heart of clonakilty, friendly welcoming staff with locally sourced ingredients. Very comfortable
Both of us had burgers. The presentation and taste was not good. Chips came out in timber bowls that you would have seen at the afters of weddings 20 years ago. Furniture looked in bad shape. The barman/waiter was interesting....
This resaurant which is part of the Emmet Hotel hosts a beautifully diverse menu with a wide range of dishes containing locally sourced produced as well as alternatives for the traveller who may have specific dietary requirements. Although a small floor space in the main part of the restaurant, there's an outdoor seating area and a conservatory where you can also enjoy the menu. The staff here go above and beyond the call of duty ensuring you enjoy your meal and time spent in the restaurant. Don't pass up the opportunity to eat here and truly enjoy what Clonakilty has to offer. Could not recommend it enough :
