Shipley Do-nuts - Clarksville

I decided to try this place since my usual doughnut shop doesn't open until 6:00 AM and didn’t have any doughnuts ready. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Shipley offers even better doughnuts. I will definitely be coming back!

I have purchased these donuts in the past. Sadly an ownership change has occurred since my last visit to the area and the quality has dropped. It is another donut shop that has fallen victim to a prefab system of fillings that are pretty much garbage. Yes, they are sweet and they have a good taste but the quality is lacking. It didn’t help that the person working the counter wouldn’t get off their telephone long enough to take my order and was rude when I wasn’t moving fast enough for them so they could get back to the telephone call. they kind of acted nice to me while I was purchasing my donuts but the second the transaction went through they went back to being completely rude and ineffectual.

Everyone raves about the donuts here. I feel like the prices have increased, but they're definitely worth it. My favorite is the Long John, while my daughter adores the strawberry-filled one. They offer a great variety to choose from!

The doughnuts are always fresh, and the service at the drive through window was awesome. It's always nice to be greeted with a smile!
