The Cajun Crab - Claremont

The store had still switched on its "open" sign, but they were actually closed. The front counter apologised for confusion, but he made an exception to order with limited menu, as the restaurant was already closed. The order was made perfect and they were fast. What a great experience, and the food was amazing. Mostly seafood cookers are quite sharp on their sausages, corn and potatoes, but, The Cajun Crab was the whole opposite! Such big portions and again, everything was amazing. Absolutely come back. Thank you for the generosity!

This is a fairly typical boiled seafood restaurant. Four of us shared Combo 1 and an order of Cajun Fries. The food was quite delicious and was served piping hot.

I had 2 pounds of the shrimp house special and tried their michelada. The prices were reasonable and the food was excellent. I would definitely return when I’m in town again.

The food is decent, but be cautious—what you think you're getting may not be accurate. I received what seemed to be just about half a pound of shrimp, even though I ordered a full pound. When I asked if they could weigh it for me, they declined and questioned why I wanted that. I don't have a scale to measure it precisely, but I've ordered shrimp from other restaurants before, and I've typically received nearly double the amount.

Thought I would try it… ordered peeled shrimp garlic and butter flavor mild Cajun . I received shrimp head and shell in melted butter and garlic no Cajun flavor… I peeled the shrimp and noticed they were NOT de-veined . I pointed it out to the server and she said ,”it is seasoning,” needless to say that was first and second strike…The third strike was they were closing at 8pm and I was still eating at 7:55pm the same server came up to me and said , “we closed now take left overs and go,” I was on my last of the flavorless shrimp and got up and left . Still flavor was off , not cleaned , and don’t listen to what client orders…. Definitely not going back.
