The beef and lamb were a bit overcooked, and I found the tabbouleh salad to be a bit too stringy for my liking. The turnips were reasonably good. The fries were excellent, but the rice pilaf was only okay. For a Mediterranean restaurant, having the fries as the standout dish doesn't really work. I wouldn't want to return; while it wasn't bad, there’s a lot of room for improvement.
The pita sandwiches we had—lamb for me and falafel for my son—were fresh, delicious, and satisfying. I can't wait to return!
Saca’s serves the best falafel in Los Angeles, and it's actually the second-best falafel I've ever tasted worldwide! I make a point to drive to Claremont whenever I can just to enjoy their falafel and bring some home with me.
I've relied on them for catering multiple times, and they've always exceeded my expectations! It's the best Mediterranean food I've ever had!
I've been a regular at this restaurant, always ordering the chicken bowl, and I usually visit at least once every couple of weeks. Today, however, I was disappointed; my bowl was significantly underfilled, and the pickles tasted extremely bitter. I called the restaurant to mention the issue with the pickles, and the owner simply replied, "Yeah, sometimes that happens. They're pickles." What? Has this restaurant followed in Chipotle's footsteps with underfilled portions and declining quality? I used to really enjoy this place, but I might need to start checking out other Mediterranean options.
