EVERYTIME I come here, the tots, fries, or onion rings are absolute trash. The old oil they are cooked in makes them unedible. It's funny, I leave this review as if the owner/management actually cares. I just can't shop at this location any more, it's just worth it. I definitely DO NOT recommend this Sonic.

My husband bought us some lunch today and the pretzel was burnt and they forgot part of my husband's order completely. I understand people making mistakes but if you burn the food just throw it away and cook some more. I would rather wait than get a burnt pretzel that I can't even eat. I might as well have just thrown my money out the window.
So...The Clanton Sonic has been around for years. I remember back when it had employees on roller skates going from car to car taking orders and carrying food. They had plenty of employees then. I understand inflation over the years can force change in many ways and enovate easier ways to operate in order to save money, but also has seemed to have also lowered the quality of customer service as well.Me and my wife have stopped at Sonic many times, but I have noticed a massive drop in employee quality, even to a point where one employee tried to steal money from me by pocketing it, then never seeing my food. In the end, I confronted the employee and management and got my food AND my change. The speakers or headsets must be dinosaur age equipment because I have to repeat my order 5 times to get them to hear me. Then sometimes that doesn 't even work and they have to come outside to take my order anyway. I feel sorry for those car hoppers who have to deal with the horrible equipment.I understand that people make mistakes. It happens. No one is perfect, but after repeating my order to their face 3 straight times, continue to stare at me like a deer in headlights, then still come back with the wrong order just simply blows me away on how poor their cognitive skills are. These are 20+ year old employees mind you. Not all of them are kids. By the way, my order was 2 simple sonic blasts. For a business that advertises 1 million drink types and combinations. It 's crazy that they can 't find employees at the Clanton location who won 't blow a fuse when one item has a change on it or something different.I work fast food currently. I have been trained in every position. I have been a manager before. I have been through all of this before. No one is perfect by any means, but when a manager can 't even comprehend a sonic blasts after repeating it 5 times already is just sad. This NEVER happens where I work and we always make an effort to make up for any mistakes with a little extra. I 'm not perfect, I have messed up orders myself, but never have I made a customer repeat an order 5 times to then proceed to give the wrong order again. They even have a picture that shows what it looks like for crying out loud!Sonic, please hire better quality employees. And my warning to any one looking for a job, please look at reviews first before jumping to a decision. If they don 't want to provide good service to customers, it shows that they don 't care about your employment either. Treat customers a little better please, and learn some cognitive skills. Would be much appreciated!
Their food is always good and the people are friendly. You can go through the drive thru or sit and wait.
