State Street Grill - City of Rochester

I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant. Despite there being only two tables occupied, we had to wait in line. After finally being seated, we waited 20 minutes just for a waitress to take our drink order, but still received no service. The room itself was acceptable, but I found a long hair in the sink that definitely wasn't mine! Thankfully, the room was free, but I would strongly recommend not wasting your time or money here.

Staff is wonderful. Convenient onsite location, the food is well priced and delicious I eat here almost every night I stay and happy hour is from 5-7 or 4-6 I can't recall.

The restaurant could be great if they had enough staff. It's surprising that they closed on a Friday at 6 PM. They also had a no-show on Thursday night. Additionally, I wouldn't recommend staying at this Holiday Inn until the downtown Rochester construction is finished. There’s only one functioning elevator, which feels a bit unreliable, while the other one is clearly out of service. It doesn't always reach the upper floors.

This restaurant is situated within the Holiday Inn Downtown Rochester. It only serves dinner, and while the menu isn't extensive, I actually found that makes decision-making easier. The food was delicious, and there's also a bar. The staff was friendly, and our meals arrived promptly. I highly recommend it!

When I visit Rochester for business trips, I typically stay at the Rochester Plaza Hotel (now a Holiday Inn), and I appreciate this restaurant's convenient location nearby.
