My wife and I visited from Toronto and discovered this restaurant through Google Maps, having never tried Haitian cuisine before. It’s a cozy, unpretentious little place that’s exceptionally clean and has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. While there was a bit of a wait, it was worth it, as the food comes out fresh and delicious. The portion sizes are quite generous. We tried the mushroom and bean rice, the curried chicken, which was delightful, the fried pork, and a variety of vegetables. The soup was also fantastic. Just be ready for some spice and enjoy the lively Haitian music playing in the background!
**OLD REVIEW:** The chicken curry was fantastic! The portion sizes are generous and reasonably priced too! Just $6.48 for chicken curry with fried rice, which is also quite tasty! Let’s go!
Really good portions are generous and well made. Fried fish was perfect and not oily at all. The fried plantains are great but do better with some manner of sauce or addition, I think. We will definitely be back and do our best to go through the whole menu.
Ive been wanting to eat here for a while IDK WHAT TOOK ME SO LONG. I ordered the griot pikliz collards and black rice .... EAT HERE !!! it?s so flavorful and fresh you do have to wait a few while the food is being prepared which is fine so order ahead and pick it up. BUT THIS IS A GEM IN THE CITY
