Andy's Deli - City of New York

I went there for a soda and asked if the guy could take $2 instead of $3. He told me I should just go to the supermarket where I could pay $2.75. If I had the money, I wouldn't have even gone there for just $2. I won't be returning again.

I've had a long connection with Andy's that goes back over 35 years. When I worked on W74th Street, I and countless employees ordered takeout sandwiches for many years. I stopped by today to reminisce with the young owner. I ordered a BLT turkey sandwich with Russian dressing, but it was a disappointment. Nick and Chris would have tossed this sandwich aside. It was barely edible—made with a roll that was toasted two days ago, no dressing, and bacon that had been cooked at 4 AM yesterday. The sandwich gave off an attitude of indifference. No more nostalgia purchases for me; I’m sticking with Lennie's up the street.

I've been visiting Andy's for years, and it's my favorite spot. They offer high-quality food at reasonable prices. I highly recommend the Italian combo for those trying it for the first time.

This place charges premium price for every item. I work at Citarella and go to them often but recently every time I order they miss something or give me a whole different order.

Went for heros (subs) and in my opinion you are rolling the dice here, we visited twice in the same weekend. It’s like they take your order and make you a random sandwich. The gentleman would take my order, repeat it back.. and I still got something different every time. Not saying it was bad just not even close to what we ordered.
