Half Half Tea Express

This was the worst location I’ve visited so far. I ordered a caramel black milk tea, specifying less sweetness and no ice, along with egg pudding. I ended up paying nearly $7 in cash to avoid an extra fee for using my card. It was a busy Saturday night, and unfortunately, this was the last boba I had during my trip home to California. What a letdown it was! The drink tasted like bitter water with a hint of brown. There was no sign of milk, no caramel flavor, and the only sweetness came from the pudding. While my order was prepared quickly, I can't help but wonder if they just wanted to avoid making more tea at the end of their shift. Overall, this was my first disappointing experience with Half and Half in over ten years. I wouldn’t recommend taking the chance to come here.

This place is an authentic Taiwanese boba shop, and the portion sizes are impressively large. The boba itself is delightfully chewy and absolutely delicious. What stands out about their milk tea is the robust flavor from actual tea leaves; it's really satisfying. There are plenty of flavors to choose from, and you can adjust the sugar level to your preference. I personally prefer it less sweet, so I always go for a quarter sugar. Just a heads up: they only accept cash and charge extra for card payments!

10/28/23 Half Half will always be my go to boba shop! I usually go to the Rowland Heights location, but I found myself at the one in City of Industry. I will say that the customer service and quality is the same regardless of which of the two locations you end up visiting. Half Half is the best when it comes to quantity and quality at its price point. There is an ongoing promotion where you can get a free upgrade to a larger size. So, we got 4 large drinks with toppings for the price of regular sized drinks. I love the value of Half Half because at other boba places, I'm already paying $7 for the regular sized drink and it's not even that great. Here, I paid just over $20 for the 4 large drinks. It's a way better deal in terms of price and flavor.

MY FAVORITE BOBA PLACE. IVE NEVER BEEN TO HALF AND HALF BUT THE GIRL BEHIND THE COUNTER WAS EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND INTRODUCED ME TO THE BEST BOBA DRINK EVER AND IM NOT EVEN A FAN OF BOBA.EVERYTHING TASTED FRESH AND FILLED TO THE BRIM WHICH I LIKE BECAUSE THE DRINK WASNT CHEAP (ALMOST 5$ PER DRINK AND THIS WAS BEFORE INFLATION) BUT WORTH IT IMO.THEY SHOULD SELL MERCH IT WOULD BE SO CUTE.
