Osteria Da Bartasca - CITTAREALE

This wonderful little restaurant is located directly on the via salaria in a small village called santa croce, a few kilometers outside of posta (from rom) or shortly after cittareale (from amatrice). when they pass by the afternoon or the evening at midday, it is worth stopping....The restaurant is embedded in the houses and has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere created by the jovial agostino, which leads the front house. the starters are excellent and varied, especially the small roasted pizza (traditional to the opposite). also the kourgetten with tomato, cheese, sardelle, kapern and oregano are worth. we followed this with agricia, again a typical pasta dish that was fantastic, made famous by the chefs nando and leonardo. then a fine steak cut and was washed by a glass genziana, the local amaro. I would recommend stopping here (worth booking, they also speak English). bravi!
