Maron - Chur

This is opposite Chur Station, this is an average bakery and confectionary. Chur is a small city with lesser options so you will often find this place crowded. The staff doesn't understand English well and they can't explain ingredients of food on display due to...which you might end up eating an allergic food, which you didn't want to eat.

Stopped here to get lunch before boarding the Glacier Express. The cheese roll with beetroot relish was delicious and the bread was particularly good. The stars though were the cherry and apricot tarts with my particular favourite being the apricot one. All other savoury and...sweet snacks looked good too.

I would recommend Cafe Maron to anyone who is in the area near Chur railway station. The staff are friendly no matter what time of day you visit early morning they have many choices of sandwiches etc should you want to make up a...picnic for train trael. The cakes and patisserie are divine and after a long day trip on the Bernina Express a glass of cold beer is very welcome too. They do start closing up around 7pm in summer so this is something to bear in mind when travelling inbound to Chur.

We enjoyed drinks outside and also purchased take away salads and pastries. This restaurant is in an excellent position opposite the railway station in Chur.

Stopped in for a quick cappuccino and it was outstanding. Quick friendly customer service. Did not get any food, so I can’t comment on that. They have pre-packed food for grab-n-go. Looks nice and convenient for hungry travelers. Located directly across entrance to train...station in Chur.
