Talavera Azul - Chula Vista

This restaurant is exceptional! The atmosphere has an artistic Mexican theme that makes you feel right at home. I have only been there twice, but I was not disappointed with the food! The flavors are authentic and the quality is impressive. The portion sizes are just right. I had an excellent server the first time, but I wish I had asked for her name. The second server was not as friendly, but still decent. The only problem is that this place is always busy, which shows how amazing they are. Just be patient and willing to wait a bit, the experience is worth it!

This restaurant may be unassuming, but the food is full of flavor! You must try their caffe de olla for a unique and delicious treat. If you enjoy enchiladas, definitely try them with the poblano cream sauce - absolutely amazing! The flan is also the best I have ever had. I give this place 4 stars for the food, but the service could use some improvement. The servers are slow to refill coffee and beverages, and they don't check on you often. They also have a tendency to mix up orders, but overall it is a great place to dine. The food is fantastic, just be patient with the service.
