Kobi's Soul Food - Chester

Found this gem of a place. Got fried chicken with sides of black eye peas and tomatoes and mac n cheese/broccoli casserole. Perfectly seasoned fried chickens. Also ordered fried pork chop with sides of Carribean Cabbage and Yams. Again.. perfectly seasoned fried pork chop. The YAMS were banging, sweet but not too sweet. Owner/Chef was working by herself, had to wait a little but DEFINITELY worth the wait. Will DEFINITELY get my money again and again. I'm a cook myself that cooks a variety of ethnic food. This Gem of a small restaurant mom/pop shop will not let you down if you are looking for excellent comfort soul food.

I searched “soul food” in google maps and decided to give this place a try. They did not disappoint. The food was piping hot and you could tell it was made with love. The customer service was exceptional. There was a wait because the owner was working alone but the quality of the food made the wait worth it. I ordered the fish and chicken dinner with yams and cabbage. A roll was included with the meal. My spouse had the meatloaf with black eyed peas and Mac-n-cheese. He enjoyed his meal too. We left a huge tip for the incredible service. I will be eating here more. I wish the restaurant nothing but success. ??

Phenomenal food and service with every item cooked to order and made with care!!! I can not say more how I highly recommend this amazing restaurant!!!

Food was delicious!! Service was good considering the owner is doing it all until business pick up. The wait time is about 45 minutes to an hour. Ambiance was ok considering the location.
