Big Hand Ale House

Was in a couple of times for drinks, but on the fb the dressing of them begin eating and seeing the dishes, we had to try it! and it has not disappointed! bark roast was huge and so delicious! would definitely recommend and would go back! my man loves the selection of real ales, as my father and father in law. They have an impressive selection of gin that matched me! and the personal is really nice to take the time to talk to them! highly recommended!

A great place for real ale fans. Good selection of beers, including Big Hands own beers and guest ales. Also good gin range. Vinyl night I think is on Tuesday, but check first. Avoid when Chester Races are on.

Not much choice of food but what I had was delicious!! Home made steak and ale (I think) pie with bread, chutney and pickle. Loved it.

A friendly reception to a good selection of delicious beer and ales (and craftsmen). I'm usually not a fan of Porter/Stout, but after I tried a swallow of the spectre, had a half as it was like a rich pudding in a glass! we had the burger and Mac cheese (the team was good enough to whistle for me a perfectly dressed beside salad that wasn't on the menu). very good value, perfect portion size and very well executed. we only had time for a flying bite to eat, but will definitely lose some lazy hours that will take our way through the ale selection. this place was by many guises before, possibly due to its location only from the thick of it in the city, but big hand have managed to turn it into a warm and successful pinhole that is its own goal. Live music on Tuesday.

Really beautiful location. very good beer from a Micro-Brewery. very friendly staff. that is the place to drink a good beer in chester.
