Grimsbury Fish - Cherwell

We place an order every Saturday night with George for haddock and chips. Our order is cooked to perfection every time. The batter is nice and crispy, never had a soggy one to date, chips are always freshly cooked. Good value for money and wouldn't go elsewhere. George and his staff are always polite and friendly.

The Grimsbury fish and chips could be the best in England! Every year when we are visiting the UK we make a pilgrimage to this modest fish and chippy for what I believe is one of the best in the country. Wonderful greaseless fish and a mound of chips augmented by wonderful mushy peas. The owner George is a super host of over 30 yrs, well done

Its got a few seats inside and out on a small patio area.good food plenty of choice .reasonabley priced.pictures of george behind the counter plus menu pics. Also some verses written by georges wife and she wrote them round the walls .its a great place with some of the best fish and chips in banbury.george and his wife are a lovely couple and all the staff are brilliant go and give it a try you will see for yourself what im saying is correct.

This truly is a wonderful eating experience. Fish and Chips at their very best. I heartily recommend this Fish and Chip Shop.

Always friendly welcome and the staff are brilliant,the food is 11 out of 10,I go there at least once a week,never had a bad meal since I first visited 15 years ago.
