Jack Sam's Restaurant at the Quaaout Lodge

My husband and I had dinner here last night and glad I made reservations as the place was quite full. For an appetizer we shared the crab bruschetta which was well presented and wonderfully yummy! For dinner I had the apricot spinach chicken and my husband had the prime rib. Both were excellent! Beautifully presented with new flavors to tantalize our taste buds. The prime rib was melt in your mouth delicious and the chicken was juicy and tender. Wow! We will come back here again and take our many guests with us!

We booked a play and stay so had 2 breakfasts and one dinner here. We made a reservation for dinner and we're glad we did as the restaurant was almost full when we arrived at 6:3@ pm. Was promptly greeted by hostess each time and seated right away. Was impressed with the white linen clad tables. The menu is varied and the food good. The Elk stroganoff; very tasty. Steak was very tender. Nice touch serving Bannock bread! The wine list consisted of a few low grade wines if ordering by the glass or expensive for a bottle. Nothing under $45. Red Wine was too warm when served. Although the servers were all pleasant; service was slow. We waited at least 30 min each morning for breakfast, which should be a fast meal for the kitchen to get out. Wouldn't have been so annoying if we hadn't had to flag down our server each time we wanted a refill of coffee. Overall would definitely try them again but hope they improve on their service. Am only rating this a 3 as my believe is that servers can make or break a great experience even when the kitchen is slow.

We came every year to your brunches while camping in Scotch Creek. Last year we had an wonderful server - beyond any expectations (Steve) We are looking forward to see him again this year. The only thing that we didn't like last year was we arrived for our reservation on time, but we have to wait for more then 10 minutes to have a table available, plus the ham was finished (it was 11:30 a.m.) and we were informed they were not bringing more. Same with the pastries. Liking your brunch so much we tought we could come for dinner too so we came inviting also a friend with us (august 2016). Big disappointment - sorry I did not write a review on time and now I forgot the name of the server, she forgot what we ordered, mixed things up, "Forgot" to tell us what we ordered run out, was a very bad experience. My husband gave her a good tip, which she absolutely didn't deserve. So dinner is not something that we'll come again for, but brunches are to good to be missed.

My husband and I travelled out to Quaaout Lodge for lunch last week. It was an exceptional experience! Delicious food and very helpful service. The bannock flatbreads were excellent! I even took pictures since they were so beautifully presented!We needed to take our food 'to go' since we had our dogs with us and the hot day meant we couldn't leave them in the vehicle. The staff were very friendly and accommodating!Thank you Quaaout Lodge - we'll be back!

My fiancé and I frequent jack sams. It's got a lounge side and dining side. It's very nicely put together and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. My fiancé and son are celiac (gluten free) and my fiancé is also vegan. This is usually a nightmare anywhere but here. The chefs fix everything up to accommodate. The food is great here and let me tell you about the deep fried bannock . Also if you go to the spa, they give you a discount at Jack Sams.
