This restaurant is a great spot with a diverse menu that has something for everyone. The service is top-notch and it is conveniently located in the heart of Sun Peaks village.
On our way to and from Vancouver for the Neil Diamond concert we spent 2 nights at the sun peaks grand hotel and found the restaurant to be very good. A great selection at the buffet. Our waitress Anne Marie was awesome. Super friendly and personable! Made our two breakfasts very enjoyable! As we'd never been to Sun Peaks before she was helpful in advising us of local activities and things to do and see. A definite " thumbs up" to her!!
The service at this restaurant/bar has been consistently terrible under the management of the bar manager. Despite their prime location, they always seem to have empty tables. We used to enjoy their service, but it has gone downhill. The new manager seems to make up their own rules when it comes to COVID restrictions. One day they demanded a photo ID because we had left ours in our apartment, but the next day their staff had different opinions on whether this was acceptable, even though they were aware of the situation from the night before. The manager was confrontational and seemed to prioritize their own rules over following the law. The night before, they refused to allow additional guests at our table, even though there were plenty of empty tables and capacity restrictions had been lifted. Other restaurants in the area were quick to adapt and accommodate more guests, but the manager seemed content with keeping things as they were. This kind of service will ultimately lead to the business failing. A change in management is desperately needed in order to bring this location back to its former standard.
Sandwiches are terrible :S wife had the pizza that was better. Kids menu was super bland. walk a little out of the hotel for food.
