Kilwins Chocolate And Ice Cream

I absolutely love the ice cream here, especially the Georgia pecan praline—it's my favorite flavor! I even drive two hours just to enjoy it. And I can't forget to mention the pecan caramel apple; make sure to get at least three of those!

I attempted to share some photos, but the experience at Kilwins this time was quite disappointing. Typically, you can rely on Kilwins for fresh, soft, and creamy fudge, but the $30 worth of fudge we purchased here was rock hard and crumbly. It was truly unpleasant! We just bought it yesterday, and unfortunately, we can't return it since we left town today. I usually sample before purchasing, but Kilwins has always been reliable in the past. Guess it's back to trying before buying! On a brighter note, the woman at the counter was friendly, and the caramel apple was delicious!

I absolutely loved the ice cream at this location! The girl who assisted us was fantastic—she was patient and helped us choose the perfect flavor. We decided to try the New Orleans praline pecan, which was her recommendation, and it definitely did not disappoint. It's a must-try!

While Charleston has some of the best food around, it is not known for ice cream (certainly not to the level of... Let's say Montreal Canada). That being said, Kilwin's has some extremely decent offerings. Their ice cream is certainly the best in town. They also have all kinds of candied products. The shop can be busy and packed but the line usually moves fairly quickly, even during peak time you should be able to get your ice cream in 5 to 10 minutes.

We stopped because of the delicious smell coming from the entrance. We ended up buyin Fudge, peanut butter cups, chocolate covered Oreos, chocolate covered rice crispy treats and several other items. We love everything we have tasted and the service was great. We will be back on our next trip to Charleston SC.
