Amazing restaurant in the city centre! This is definitely one of the best restaurants of Chania. Service is great, and the personnel is very friendly and kind. Atmosphere is that of an authentic greek tavern, you can sit inside or outside. Food is the star of Mesotrato. We had some of the best dishes ever tried in Crete and Greece. Very suggestive restaurant full of greenery in the historic center of Chania. Unfortunately the staff was not very courteous, we were given very little consideration during the service even when we called the waiters. Truly excellent quality food in full Cretan style, authentic flavors and very good dishes. At the end of the meal, as is typical of the area, they leave a sweet with their Raki grappa. This is a really excellent restaurant in the center of Chania: great service, wonderfully rustic atmosphere and very tasty food! If the price is also very reasonable... What more could you want?!? Vegetarian options: I got my money's worth. Kid-friendliness: Children are more than welcome. Our daughter felt absolutely comfortable.
