The Hub - Champaign

Stop for Brunch this morning and found my new Saturday place! The burger was well cooked and the service was prompt. I am very grateful to stop either for a drink or a meal. Great layout. All TVs give a nice feeling.

Service is by far the worst I have ever experienced. Food is not good, cold and looks like cafeteria food. Everything is either over seasoned or under seasoned. Server (Also the assistant manager) had a huge attitude problem rolls eyes, messes up orders, adds extra charges, throws down checks and pens, and called my group ridiculous for disputing the charge she had added on for no reason.

Went on a Saturday afternoon. The floor was sticky across the entire restaurant. In the dining area, we noticed some red drops on the wood panelled ceiling that appeared to be one of the cranberry mimosas that had somehow made it to the ceiling. The bathrooms were the worst part. The urinals had red spots all over them as if someone had vomited on them. The restroom smelled of vomit. The soap dispensers had been ripped off the wall. The paper towel rolls appeared to have been punched or something as they were dented and open. Only one dispenser had paper towels. The only saving grace may have been the unlimited mimosas deal, but we opted to order single mimosas, as we didn't want to spend anymore time there than we needed. Overall, it seemed like the restaurant was not cleaned from the prior evening's, or even prior weekend's, activities.

I went to this place after going to two bars in downtown Champaign because I was curious what it would be like. After waiting outside for 30 minutes, two of my friends got in and told the owner that they would not give their IDs and enter without my other friend and I. The manager would not give them an answer and said he would not let us in because he owned the place and proceeded to let in 6 other people because they had wristbands from earlier in the night. After he exchanged more rude words, my friends left. After waiting for another 10 minutes, they did not let anyone in and told everybody to form a single file line. This is a waste of money and time for anybody, especially 21+, as you have a multitude of options at campus and downtown bars. I will never give this place business, even if cover is free and I do not buy anything, because the owner was blatantly rude to every patron he spoke to. I ate her twice when they first opened and once, a year or two later and the food has gone considerably downhill.

Went to the hub last night after being informed by workers in the morning that they were under new management and 21+ would be free at night. Waited in line with a group of friends, all the while being treated like animals by the bouncer. If I could give 0 stars I would. Waited 20 minutes in line to get yelled at for thinking there would be no cover. At that point all our friends left and I simply had to use the restroom. I was yelled at again, surprise, and told to go use the Circle K restroom. Terrible experience.
