Contribuiți la feedbackI know it’s not the most authentic of Filipino restaurants, but Goldilock’s has some really tasty foods that must be experienced. They have good pork’s blood (called dinuguan), which is very rich, but still one of my favorite’s. Also, they have great cakes here and their lumpia (vegetarian) is fresh and tasty! It has a homemade sauce, I think. Another favorite dish to order here is the sisig. It is kind of too fried for me personally and I wish they put more tender parts of the pork ears, but the spices make up for it. It even comes with an egg! LOL. The eggplant rilleno is another dish that you cannot go wrong with, except I personally do not like the ketchup sauce they put on the eggs!
I do enjoy their biscotti; in fact, I used to be quite addicted to it. I had to break that habit after realizing it was contributing to my weight gain. I was also a huge fan of their ensaymadas before I became addicted to the biscotti. There was something irresistible about the cheesy, sugary flavor, even though it was definitely an unhealthy indulgence. They offer a wide variety of baked goods, including mamon, ensaymada, biscotti, red velvet cupcakes, ube cake, siopao, chicken empanadas, halo-halo, and more. Many people visit Goldilocks to order cakes for special occasions, but sadly, their cakes aren't as good as they used to be. Ordering cakes during the holidays can be a hassle, as many others will be trying to place their orders at the same time. My mother and I had an average experience the first time we ordered a cake from them back when they were still in Artesia, and because of that, we haven’t bothered to order again. While I haven’t dined at the current location (though I did at the Artesia one), I can say that the restaurant appears clean and well-maintained. The customer service is decent, but I’ve experienced better service at other Filipino restaurants. Goldilocks is situated in a busy area, next to a supermarket and near Hometown Buffet, with plenty of parking available, so it's easy to find when driving along Gridley. Fun fact: some may not know that their original location was on Pioneer Street in Artesia, CA, but they are now in Cerritos at the corner of South and Gridley.
Another favorite of mine is the sisig. While I wish they included more delicate parts of the pork ears, the flavors are still outstanding, and it even comes with an egg on top! The eggplant relleno is another hit, although I’m not a fan of the ketchup sauce they put on the eggs. Overall, Goldilocks has a lot to offer!
However, they appear to have altered the ingredients used in their baked goods. Yet, in a world dominated by highly processed foods, what can we expect? Their biscotti is enjoyable, and I admit I used to crave it. But I find myself avoiding it now due to weight concerns. I also used to love their ensaymadas. Before my biscotti obsession, I had a strong passion for these sweet, fluffy treats. Unfortunately, while delicious, they are undoubtedly unhealthy snacks. Goldilocks offers a wide variety of baked goods. In addition to mais, ensaymada, and biscotti, they also sell items like red velvet cupcakes, ube cake, siopao, chicken empanadas, halo-halo, and more. Many customers visit Goldilocks to order cakes for special occasions, but unfortunately, their cakes aren't as good as they used to be. During the holidays, ordering cakes also becomes quite chaotic, as many people want to pick up their cakes on the same day. My mother and I had a less-than-ideal experience when we ordered a cake from them back when they were still in Artesia, which led us to never order from them again. Although I have not visited their new location (I can only speak from my experience at the Artesia site), I must say the restaurant appears clean and well-kept. Customer service is decent, though I’ve received better service at other Filipino restaurants. Goldilocks is conveniently located in a lively area across from a supermarket and near Home Buffet on South and Gridley. There’s ample parking, and finding the restaurant isn’t difficult as it’s easily visible from Gridley. Fun fact: some may not know that their original location was on Pioneer Street in Artesia, and they are now based in Cerritos at South and Gridley.
