The Red Bird - Cedar Springs

My husband and I stopped in here on our way back from my grandbaby's funeral. The server was so patient about my food restrictions. The gluten free buns for the burgers are fantastic. The burgers were so amazing. We will be stopping in again the next time we are going through. We were both completely comfortable in there. Absolutely fantastic.Dietary restrictions: They are extremely helpful and they do offer gluten free options and dairy free options. I'm impressed.

Service was not good. We waited 20 minutes for our server just to take our order they bring us a whole picture of water so they didn’t have to comeback we awaited so long we asked another waiter to take our order and he just said “I’ll get your waiter” which took another ten minutes the food was not good either I could’ve went to Burger King and had a better burger it was our anniversary and we just wanted a nice night out without the kids and we where very disappointed! Where was our server ? 20 minutes is ridiculous!

I wanted to give a higher rating, but I have to be honest. The food was good at this restaurant. I ordered Red's Pork Roll which was slightly dry in the middle, but overall it was delicious. The fries were awesome! The service, however, was lacking. I visited just before 3pm on a Sunday afternoon when the restaurant was not busy at all. Despite only 2 other tables being occupied, my waitress took my order and never came back until I was finished eating. Another waitress brought my food out, but no one checked on me until I was done. My drink was empty and no one asked if I wanted a refill until I was finished eating. Overall, the lack of service left me disappointed. The menu looked appetizing and I had hoped for a better experience. Also, the glass water bottle looked dirty and should not be used.
