Starbucks - Cedar Rapids

I frequently visit this unique restaurant, but I am unlikely to return after my most recent experience. If I were a health inspector, this place would definitely receive a low rating. I came here to eat and have a drink, but while waiting for my drink, I noticed the counter was very wet with what looked like spilled drinks that had not been cleaned up. It did not seem sanitary. I saw the barista placing drinks on this wet counter and mentioned it to them, but they did not seem concerned. The barista who eventually made my drink cleaned the counter after I pointed it out, but did not wash their hands before finishing my drink. I was surprised that the dirty counter was not cleaned properly before serving other customers. This experience made me rethink staying and working in this place.

I always have trouble getting a nitro cold brew at this restaurant. The lines are always long and when I finally get a venti, it's not even filled to the top. This is the first location I've had issues with, as I've had no problems at other restaurants in the city.

While Dieucks may seem like the go-to coffee spot in the morning, it unfortunately doesn't live up to its reputation. Every time I visit, they are always slow and the quality of their drinks has been declining. Proceed with caution.

It's hit and miss whether they are openToday the main store was closed. Making the drive thru was very busy and a long wait. Sometimes it's closed completely.

Usually only go to this location if my regular one isn't open but normally on Sunday mornings they have one lady who has a black apron (coffeesmith) and she actually introduced me to my all time favorite drink. She knows a lot about coffee so if you have questions she's the one to talk to. They're friendly and have never messed up my order.
