The Blind Pig - Cedar Rapids

**Location & Atmosphere** I've driven past this spot many times but had never stopped in. From the outside, it looks like a typical bar and grill, but once you step inside, it feels warm and inviting, complete with festive string lights overhead and cozy seating at the bar and surrounding areas. **Service** Our server was outstanding! She checked on us promptly and consistently throughout the meal. My glass was never half-empty, and I was truly impressed by her attentiveness. She also wore a shirt that made me smile; it said, "I know the owner." Anyone who has worked in the food or customer service industry can appreciate that sentiment, and it gave me a good laugh. **Food** I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and portion sizes of the food. Everything was incredibly fresh, hot, and of excellent quality. - **Garlic Cheese Curds**: Typically, I find cheese curds to be a bit heavy, as many places prepare them too greasy. That was not the case here; they were light, crispy, and had a perfectly balanced garlic flavor! - **Hot Chicken Wings**: These wings were a nice size and made with quality meat. They were flavorful, though not overly spicy for my taste. I always recommend trying spicy items for yourself since my tolerance for heat might be off at this point—unless it's ghost pepper or hotter! - **Cobb Salad**: WOW! This salad was both amazing and enormous! It included all the right ingredients and was absolutely fantastic. I might just return for another one because I need to keep my greens coming! - **Fries**: The fries were also impressive—breaded, crispy, and super delicious! In summary, I had a great experience with excellent service at Blind Pig. Absolutely the best place! Matt was our chef tonight, and his cooking was phenomenal. The food and service were excellent as always. This is definitely the top spot to eat in CR!

This is one of my favorite spots. In the picture, you can see the Rodeo Burger and the Jacked Mac and Cheese. The Jacked Mac and Cheese bites are outstanding. The Ruben, Tenderloin, and Nachos are all fantastic as well. You really can't go wrong here!

Horrid service! Waitress was standing at the larger table that came after us for 45 minutes and ignored us and another table the rest of the time. Got done eating at 8:47, didn't get our check from the BARTENDER until 9:35(ish). We had empty glasses that were never refilled, and the waitress never asked how we were doing. At least the bartender asked once how we were. At the end, instead of asking if we wanted more drinks, they just handed us a check and walked off. Never coming back. Couldn't leave because I'm not going to be a dine and dasher, but oh boy was I tempted. I refused to tip based on the terrible service. They claimed it was busy, but all I saw was a full place and waitress standing around talking to the large group of people. I felt bad for the other couple who got ignored as well

Awesome food. Great beverage selection, and friendly staff. Had a great meal and good time.
