I want to love this one. so much. it is beautiful, the service is great, the gelato is decent, but the chocolates are simply not good for me. I always go back and think I miss something bc of all amazing reviews, but the bonbons are always so sweet and vigilant, they remind me of russel stover’s. it is more like sweetness than chocolate. it's just not for me. I always try others dinge, although I love the aesthetics of the shop and that is tasteful.

Wonderful drinks, chocolates, and gelato!!! They have something here for everyone and it’s so lovely inside as well. The staff is super great and friendly!

I was fortunate enough to taste gelato for the first time in Italy back in 2014, where I ended up eating it 2-3 times a day during my stay because I loved it so much. Since then, I’ve traveled across the country multiple times and even lived near LA (trying every gelato place I could find) but Stam’s is by FAR the best gelato I’ve found, and the closest you’ll ever get to the real thing.The location in Ames told me that this small, family-owned chain uses an Italian gelato machine and tries to keep their recipes as authentic as possible.I’m not much of a coffee drinker, but their chocolate is also phenomenal.At Stam’s you will find a charming quiet atmosphere, friendly service, and phenomenal gelato and chocolate for the price. I strongly recommend everyone, visitors and locals alike, to try it for themselves.
