Contribuiți la feedbackAfter two long years without foreign tourists due to Cocid, the place looks a bit suffered and not appealing much by look, but I'm really happy that we gave it a chance, we had our best/fresh meals always here in Malapascua. Gemma (owner lady is really friendly and probably the best cook on the whole island, she knows the difference between vegetarian and vegan. Expect loong food preparation duration (around an hour as for some vegetables she collects from the garden during the preparation. Better to get her number and give the order an hour ago or schedule next time while you are eating. Gemma is very kind she even prepared take-away food for our boat trip (there are only bbq options on the boat trips in the early morning. Pumpkin Soup is a must try, my favourite! Expect huge portions, for two people one soup, one salad (very fresh one , one side and one main is mooore than enough. Prices are better than other restaurants. Gemma promised us to include more vegetarian/vegan options in the future:
Food is worth the wait. It does take a while because it is being made fresh from items in the garden. The veggie curry was one of the best I had during my stay in the Philippines

We knew we had to wait for our food, but I could not imagine that the owner literally went to her head to get the fresh crumbled and sweet. it was amazing! while preparing for eating, she told us about the place, the land etc. it was the best dinner we had during our stay in malapascua.
Yes it takes some time and yes its small, but this doesnt make it unapealing. The food is fresh and is prepared freshly, that why it takes some time. The chef is actualy a vegan chef. Good quality, big portions and cheap. I woulf give 5 stars!
