Tuna Lounge - Castro

Set off the square near the castle this modern restaurant with indoor or outdoor seating is a must for anyone who loves sea food cooked to perfection. It was by far my nicest meal of my break, service wasnt the quickest but boy was the wait worth it. Service was first class and the wine was superb. No rush, the table is yours for the evening. Its a varied menu but i must recommend the seaweed spaghetti with Swordfish and Tuna starter, It was a meal in itself and was truly delicious. Booking is essential.

Fantastic food! A must do in Castro. We enjoyed our food very much. The team is very professional and cuatomer oriented. Even with a small baby we received a very nice table and enjoyed full attention. Great team spirit and delicious food!

We enjoyed two dinners here in early October. Both were excellent value for delicious food. Service was friendly and relaxed but also thoroughly professional, just as it should be. All the food we ate was terrific, in particular the pasta, the swordfish and of course the tuna. Wines were good and reasonably priced. We were very happy to return for the second evening and highly recommend this restaurant.

Dal momento che l'estate sembra che non voglia finire, questo fine settimana lo abbiamo trascorso in Salento e più precisamente a Santa Cesarea terme e a Castro Marina. Mare meraviglioso, fresco al punto giusto, pulito e calmissimo. Se a questo aggiungi una confortevole location, una villa dell'800, ristrutturata ma integra per pavimenti, soffitti, scale e corridoi e una cena spettacolare, penso che valga la pena fare un po' di strada. Il ristorante si trova nella parte alta di Castro e si chiama Tuna. Moderno negli arredi, elegante senza essere pretenzioso, con una grande attenzione per il cliente da parte del personale di sala e dello stesso proprietario. Menù sostanzialmente di mare con antipasti buoni e con un mix di tradizione e innovazione. Ma eccezionale il primo piatto. Linguine all'astice, appena tolto dall'acquario. Una delizia per il palato. Il tutto annaffiato da un ottimo rosato. Quello che è importante anche il prezzo è stato giusto.
