My father took myself and a large group of friends and family out to celebrate a new business venture.

I tried to like this place because I heard good things about it, but from both of my visits, the food did not meet the standards.

Le 254 in Soual France dept 81 is excellent for a typical no fuss meal. All meals are made on the premises and are excellent value. The Owner, the Chef, and the staff are all very very friendly and cant do enough for customers. Meals are excellent and good value. You should try the enormous profittor roles and their steak - well done if you want it that way. Their chips are the chef`s own style and we have never had such deliciously good matchstick thin chips. Moule Frits on Fridays at only €10. Nice outside terrace to enjoy the sun.. Found this small restaurant in Soual (vicinity of Castres) and our small travelling group enjoyed very fresh local food with the exceptionally proud, hospitable and welcoming host. Our Friday night stop included the nights moules special with a range of additional options. As it was raining we ate inside but 254 also offers the opportunity to dine outside. A very pleasant experience at an economical price.
