Pier 23 - Caseville

This restaurant is lovely and situated right on the lakeshore. We consistently receive great service here. I highly recommend trying the sautéed cashew chicken and the delicious fried perch.

My husband had been wanting to return to Pier 23 for some time, and we finally made it today. He traveled from Saginaw and arrived in Tawas earlier.

The restaurant is located in a beautiful spot with a lovely view. The service was good, but the portion of kabeljau (cod) only consisted of three very small fish pieces. Even with a 10% discount on Fridays, the price was still considered to be excessive.

Perch Dinner (market price) Steak Sandwich (7 oz ribeye) Seasonal Rests. Perch is excellent. Loves the melt when it's in. Portions are a good price for value. Waiting staff is very attentive and helpful. I can't find out how many people can eat in such a cozy remnants without having a line out of the door.

This place looks like it's just a dive until you get your food. My fiancée and I stopped visiting the summer and we were really impressed. She has the lake alley, which was fresh and easy to think. I got the Cajun chicken sandwich; it was huge, pulsatingly aromatized and tasted as if the chicken had never been frozen. The filled mushrooms were not only dropped in a fryer from a JFS box, they were real mushrooms hand filled and easily scattered. The service was great, the view of Lake Huron was amazing. Don't be fooled with this place.
