Villa Maria Italiano - Carstairs

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Villa Maria last night with family and friends, and it was an excellent choice based on our previous visits with our fantastic host, Danny Maria. For me, it was the best dining experience I've had since traveling from Chester to a remote location in North Wales over 50 years ago to enjoy a similar atmosphere at a centuries-old restaurant called The Cherry Pie. The hostess would drive to Liverpool each week to buy an elegant gown to wear on weekends to welcome us. Danny Maria truly makes you feel at home, remembering your names almost instantly. The food was delicious in every way, and they catered wonderfully to our four grandchildren, aged 5 to 14. The bar is well-stocked with soft drinks as well. I could go on, but our celebration last night, which included 9 adults and 4 kids, was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone—hence the 5-star rating! Thank you so much, Danny Maria!

Fantastic Italian restaurant! The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make sure guests are happy and satisfied. It's definitely worth the drive from Calgary. We've dined there several times, and each experience has been outstanding. Looking forward to our next visit! Best, Chris Liv.

Another must try Italian!! Stuffed ravioli with Roccta cheese. Delish!! ??. The dish was fantastic and came hot. Lovely white creamy sauce. Ravioli cooked perfectly! Complimentary basket of bread came with before dinner.Recommend making reservations gets busy Saturday evening. Happened to accommodate our party of 7.

Amazing and friendly service from the owner. The food was incredible and I'm very much looking forward to going back!
